The authors present 35 new BL Lac objects identified in the correlation of the ROSAT All-Sky Survey (RASS) with the Hamburg Quasar Survey (HQS) together with all previously known BL Lac objects in the surveyed area. Using this sample they compare two different search techniques, the selection of high log fx/fB objects and the combined X-ray/radio/optical search method. They discuss the selection effects and obtain the log S-log N diagram for the sample.
