The J = 1-0 HCO(+) emission from NGC 7027 was observed with the BIMA array. We present the first convincing evidence that the HCO(+) emitting material is distributed in an expanding torus. The spectrum indicates that there are two velocity components: the bulk of the HCO(+) emission arises from material with a projected outflow velocity of about 15 km/s, and there is a higher velocity component presumably due to an inner shell. The observed source size is about 20 x 30 arcsec, the continuum flux density is 4.5 +/- 0.5 Jy, and the peak line flux density is 11.2 +/- 0.9 Jy. The HCO(+) extends relatively far from the central star. Previous observations underestimated the total HCO(+) flux density and emission region size. These results highlight the drawbacks of observing extended sources with large antennas.
