On the basis of level examinations, done in a laboratory and during star observations, a nonnegligible temperature influence on the measuring results is found. For practical purposes, such as reductions of observational materials, expressions which should be taken into account in coordinate derivations of observed celestial bodies, and, in this case, in the derivation of the geographic latitude are proposed.
