A search for additional beat Cepheids has been carried out using existing and newly-obtained photometric data. Frequency analysis of nine selected suspects reveals that they are all single-mode pulsators and so the number of known beat Cepheids remains at eleven One of the suspects is identified as a short period Population II bump Cepheid. A proposed cause of the double-mode pulsations, mode switching, is shown to be improbable.
