We discuss scenarios for gamma-ray bursts from high-velocity neutron stars born in the galactic disk, focusing on halo beaming models (1,2). We give detailed model comparisons with data from the 2nd BATSE catalog, considering both the spatial and intensity distributions. We briefly discuss the energy budgets for the bursters and the mechanism of spindown alignment, and we describe some testable predictions.
