Events of a new type have been observed by the Chacaltaya Emulsion Chamber Experiment, which can consistently be interpreted as the 'baryon' pair decay of a heavy intermediate state of rest mass 20-30 GeV/c squared. Each event consists of two gamma-ray (and/or electron) groups with parallel incidence, resulting in two electron shower clusters separated by a large distance. These events are discussed in relation to 'geminion'-type events and the 'Castor-Pollux' event.
