The equations of reddening lines in the diagram U-B, B-V and the ratio of total absorption to color excess A(V)/E(B-V) are computed for stars of different spectral types, luminosities and peculiarities using mean energy distribution curves from Straizys and Sviderskiene (1972), the interstellar reddening law from Sudzius (1974) and the response curves of the UBV system revised by Azusienis and Straizys (1969). The results presented seem to be the most exact representation of the parameters of the UBV system for practical use. The new absolute calibration of the UBV magnitudes and the black body colors with the most exact normalization are also given.
