Observations of type Ia supernovae, large scale Structure, and anisotropies in the cosmic microwave background have provided compelling evidence that the energy density of the Universe is dominated by something like a cosmological constant. Although there is increasing amounts of data providing corroborating evidence in favor of a cosmological constant, no clear theoretical understanding of this majority component of the Universe has emerged. In this session of GR16, we explore several observational and theoretical approaches to better understand the Cosmological Constant.
