In this review paper Einstein equations for axisymmetric vacuum fields
are introduced in the form given by Lewis. Following Ernst they are
reduced to one complex potential equation. Weyl-type, Schwarzschild,
Kerr, Tomimatsu-Sato solutions, and their NUT-like generalizations are
then discussed.
