We carry out two dimensional calculations in order to investigate the dependence of supersonic gas flow past gravitating objects on the geometrical size of the object. Flow patterns, accretion rates and drag coefficients are obtained for objects which range in size from 0.1 to 1 accretion radii. We also discuss the dependence of the results on the precise manner in which the boundary conditions are chosen.
