This paper presents a description of a catalog containing averaged
quadratic effective magnetic fields Be for 596 main sequence
and giant stars. The catalog is based on 12076 measurements of the
stellar effective (or mean longitudinal) magnetic field strengths
Be , which were compiled from the availableliterature.
