A fast algorithm is developed which provides for high accuracy of autonomous navigation for a geostationary satellite. The algorithm is based on the use of analytical formulas for quasi-circular motion, a quasi-linear Kalman filter, and an optimal strategy for the measurement of the navigation parameters. RMS errors of the estimation of satellite orbit period are determined in the framework of the proposed approach.
