A system is described which makes possible the magnetic-tape recording of all the initial information concerning star transit as well as the operational processing of time marks. The device makes possible an unambiguous determination of signal variations at the output of the photoelectric amplifier. The recording and indexing of the information make it possible to simulate the determination of the mean moments of star transit. The system assures complete processing of observation results pertaining to the determination of astronomical time without recourse to manual labor and the associated errors.
