We describe an automated supernova classification program. The software finds the best match between an input spectrum and a library of template spectra while determining and correcting for host galaxy contamination and reddening. The redshift and type of the supernova is automatically determined. This provides a quantitative comparison of supernova spectra as well as automatic determination of the age of the supernova from the spectrum alone. The program is currently used to interpret and classify spectra for the Supernova Cosmology Project and will be used in the Supernova Factory to classify supernovae without human intervention. Additionally, we show the program's fits to several high redshift supernovae from the Supernova Cosmology Project.
