A description is presented of a method, called autocorrector, for the calculation of geodetic satellite directions. The method is designed for the solution of space triangulation problems involving the use of satellites. The principles of operation of the space triangulation procedure are discussed, taking into account aspects of photographic observations with the aid of satellites, questions of temporal and positional precision, and corrective approaches. Attention is also given to the star catalog used, reference systems, astronomical elements, problems of star selection, and the apparent positions of the selected stars.
