This proposal comprises the annual request for 36 hrs of ATCA time to be allocated to projects which are yet to be developed by the 2010/2011 Vacation Students. It is anticipated that three groups of students will each design projects to focus on galactic or extragalactic targets. This time will be shared to obtain full a 12 hr synthesis cycle per group. This allocation can be regarded as an investment for future astronomical research.
