A preliminary analysis of some quantitative results of observations carried out at Pamirs during 1985 - 1987 is made. The observations were performed with a telescope of 500 mm aperture with a simultaneous registration of the solar image quality obtained. Due to an open construction of the telescope the effects of the lowest atmospheric layer and other disturbances were minimum. That enabled the authors to get regularly high quality solar photographs. Some parameters of day-time seeing are given. They allow for optimum observations with the aim of studying fine structure features in the solar atmosphere. The observing quality at Pamirs is considerably better during summer-autumn, in spite of a considerable soil heating, than during winter-spring when the convective inhomogeneities are rather weakened.
