Venera 15 and 16 radio occultation data on the Venus atmosphere is examined for six regions of the southern polar region. The investigation covers atmospheric heights of 50 to 90 km in the -82 to -89 deg latitude region at solar zenith angles of 82 to 91 deg. Dependences of temperature, pressure, and density on height are also examined. The atmospheric parameters in the southern and northern polar regions are compared.
