The method of matched asymptotic expansions is used to obtain a solution
to the local disk dynamo problem in the case of large dynamo numbers.
The solution has the form of the sum of three function, two of which
represent boundary layers and the third represents a degenerate
solution. The parity of the solution is investigated.
