Spectra of the Seyfert 1 galaxy NGC 4151 were obtained from 1976 to 2003 and measured by the authors. An analysis of Hα profile shows the significant increase of F(Hα)^{blue} / F(Hα)^{red} ratio over the period 1976 - 1986. It is assumed that there is a direct correlation between F(Hα)^{blue} / F(Hα)^{red} variations and the total activity of NGC 4151.
