The TERRIERS experiment is one of the first round of STEDI low cost satellites. While its primary mission is to tomographically image the earth's ionosphere it will also produce an all sky survey in the far ultraviolet. This survey, which will be conducted in 8 bands between 800 and 1400 Angstroms, will have a resolution of ~ 0.25 *E(deg) and a sensitivity of 3 x 10(-4) cm(2) st. These data will be useful both for their value in understanding the distribution of the diffuse emission and scattering from various components of the interstellar medium and as a survey of discrete sources in this band. The satellite achieves its high sensitivity light weight and low cost through a combination of off-the-shelf hardware, novel observing techniques, and a unique set of single element imaging spectrographs which provide both high imaging and high spectral resolution. We will discuss the experiment's design and status as well as the expected results.
