The astrophysical bounds on the change of the gravitational constant
with time are studied. It is found that /G(dot)/G/ less than 10 exp
-12/yr is the condition that has to be satisfied in order not to cause a
conflict with the observations. The condition is found to be in accord
with the lower limits, the superstring theory predicts.
