Thirty-seven astrometric positions with an rms residual of 1.5 arcsec are reported for comet P/Halley. The observations were made with a 50-cm reflector at Skibotn Observatory in the interval 9 October 1985 - 10 January 1986. The equipment, the observing and reduction procedures, and the special problems besetting astrometric observations due to aurora are briefly described.
