The azimuthal orientations of 44 neolithic stone tombs near
Osnabrück have been measured. As in Mecklenburg the entrances to
these gallery graves point to the southern horizon, while at
Carnac/Bretagne the passages are oriented to the southeast. Possible
astronomical orientations are discussed.
