A polyvalent nacelle developed during an international cooperation program is described. The structural characteristics, primary stabilization are discussed. The Schmidt Cassegrain anastigmatic flat field (SCAP) ultraviolet optical system is analyzed in detail. A description of current scientific programs includes research on weak blue stars, ultraviolet spectrometry of galaxy centers, and detection of H2 galactic regions at 1900 A.
