High speed infrared films for astronomical photography which do not
require hypersensitization, and which can be transported for 30 to 40 hr
at 20 C without changing their characteristics were produced. The films
were used to investigate the fine structure of the solar chromosphere
and to detect cyclic changes in the outer atmosphere of 2 Aur B.
