RW Tri is a 13th magnitude Nova-like Cataclysmic variable star with an orbital period of 0.2319 days. Past analyses of the disk and spot eclipses, based upon the mean B and V light curves along with the earlier determination of K1 had estimated the distance to be 270 {+/-} 40 parsecs (Smak,1995, AcA 45,259; Warner,1987, MNRAS 227,23). Recently completed Hubble Space Telescope Fine Guidance Sensor observations allow us to determine the first trigonometric parallax to RW Tri. We compare our result with methods previously employed to estimate distance to CV's, such as IR photometry. The new HST astrometric parallax can be used to flux model this star. This work is based on observation made with the NASA/ESA Hubble Space Telescope, obtained at the Space Telescope Science Institute, which is operated by the Association of Universities for Research in Astronomy, Inc., under NASA contract NAS5-26555.
