Precise astrometric predictions of stellar occultations permit to organize, with confidence, international observational campaigns of selected events which will take place at well equipped observatories, especially when the possibility of centrality is strong. Here we show the methodology and results of the astrometric predictions by the Rio Group for Pluto and Charon within the international campaign coordinated by Dr. B. Sicardy (LESIA/Observatoire de Paris). We have successfully predicted the stellar occultation by Charon in 2005 (Sicardy et al. 2006, Nature), the stellar crossing trough the orbits of Nix and Hydra (April 2006) and the 2007 Pluto events of March (Mexico and west U.S.), May (NACO, ISAAC, Paranal/Chile), June (LNA Brazil, Paranal and 2p2 La Silla) and the near central occultation of 31 July at New Zealand (Kanopus Observatory). This year (2008) we have also successfully predicted the location of the rare, slow occultation by Triton of a R=12 star, observed at Namibia (Africa) and La Reunion (Pacific) with 0.6m-1m telescopes. New events are foreseen as we write, such as the 22 June simultaneous events for Pluto (SE Australia) and Charon (Namibia, La Reunion), and the possibly central flash event for Pluto at the CHFT, Hawaii at 24 June. Further astrometric predictions of stellar occultations for the period 2008-2015 are also presented for Pluto, Charon and for the TNOs Quaoar, Orcus, Eris and 2002TX300. These new predictions are based on a dedicated astrometric program which is being carried out by the Rio Group at the ESO 2p2/WFI (Chile) since 2007.
