Exposing undergraduate and high school students to fluid dynamics simulations they can control and then visualize could become a powerful teaching tool in astrophysics cirricula. In addition, a similar opportunity for planetarium and museum visitors to interact with simulations could provide a valuable public outreach venue. The power of today's general purpose computers, widely available in schools, homes, and museums, is more than adequete to visualize and in many cases run illuminating simulations. A software tool, however, remains to be constructed that provides a simple, easy to use interface for these situations. We are constructing a tool named "Astroflow" to meet these challenges. In addition to providing control and visualization for fluid dynamics codes, the tool is designed to provide online instructional material, run across a network, and on several platforms. We present an early version of the visualiztion subsystem written in Java.
