A comparison is made of the age distributions of astroblemes and
magnetic inversions, and it is found that these distributions are well
correlated. This provides another argument in support of a hypothesis
whereby the geomagnetic inversions and geomagnetic polarity superchrons
result from the impact of giant asteroids against the earth.
