Eighty-one precise positions are given of minor planets observed at the GPO (f equals 4 m, d equals 40 cm) of the European Southern Observatory, La Silla, Chile, during April 1978 and April 1979. All plates were measured on the Ascorecord Zeiss measuring machine of the Valongo Observatory, Rio de Janeiro. The positions were computed by means of dependences and of least squares, with a Burroughs B6700 computer of the Nucleo de Computacao Electronica - NCE, of the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro. The reference stars, taken from the SAO stars Catalogue and corrected for proper motions give the observations at the equinox (1950.0) of this catalog.
