This paper presents a review of glasses likely to exist or to have existed on Mars based on photogeologic evidence and terrestrial, lunar, and meteoritic analog studies. The authors also review the survivability of these glasses in various postulated climatic environments and assess the ability to detect glasses and/or their weathering products using remote sensing techniques.
