Neutron Stars, Supernova Remnants, Anomalous X-Ray Pulsars, Soft Gamma Repeaters

Scientific paper

Investigating possible connections of anomalous X-ray pulsars (AXPs) and soft gamma repeaters (SGRs) with supernova remnants (SNRs) is essential in order to understand the nature of such objects. We found that three of the AXPs and two of the SGRs are probably connected with SNRs. The distance values of some of these SNRs were improved. We also discussed connections between all the other isolated radio and X-ray pulsars and SNRs.
