Using the all-sky HB catalogue of quasars and ACO catalogue of clusters of galaxies as material, I examined the association between the quasars and the clusters of different types and found that the character of association is different for different types of clusters. Two-sample K-S test confirmed that the quasars that are correlated (or anticorrelated) with the Abell clusters do not come from the same population as all quasars, thus showing the association (positive or negative) to be real and not caused by projection effects. Further calculations showed that a density enhancement factor of q = 1.089 applies to the quasars that are associated with D <= 4 Abell clusters, and that R >= 2 Abell clusters produce an absorption of AB = 0.09 mag on the surrounding quasars.
