A simple method of testing deep aspheric surfaces is presented. The
apparatus consists of a Twyman-Green interferometer and a liquid
compensatory container. Two lenses, one with spherical surfaces and the
other with a spherical surface and an aspheric surface, were tested by
using this method. The device is very simple and easy to assemble.
