The increasing volume of planetoid research activities is reflected in the great number of new objects to which a number has been assigned. A planetoid is assigned a number only after it has been observed in connection with three different appearances. The list of planetoids comprises currently 2016 objects. The computation of the orbits of planetoids with the aid of electronic computers is considered, taking into account the employment of the secular perturbation theory and a numerical procedure which makes it possible to study resonance locations. Attention is also given to certain problems regarding orbital characteristics and stability.
