AS 325 is known as an "iron" star due to the many iron emission lines seen in its optical spectrum caused by florescence with the UV iron emission lines. AS 325 is an eclipseing binary with a period of 513 days most likely consisting of a hot Be star and a K2 III. Optical spectroscopic observations were made of AS 325 using several sources and were made both during and after and eclipse. Using this data we are able toestablish that the red K2 III star is eclipsed. The eclipse that was observed was twice the depth in magnitude of the three previously observed eclipses. The magnitude of the AS 325 when not in an eclipse has been steadily increasing. The observations suggest that the changes in magnitude and eclipse depth are due to the variablitiy of the red secondary.
