An array receiver is proposed for line observations in the short millimeter and submillimeter wavelength range. The receiver would consist of about 100 InSb elements in the focal plane of a telescope with f/D greater than 0.8. It is shown that at 230 and 345 GHz such a system can reduce the observing time necessary to map galactic sources by a factor of several hundred.
