UBV photometry is provided for the components of 153 southern close visual double stars from observations made with a computer-controlled area scanner. Separations are measured for many of the doubles. Comparisons are made with previous measurements of differential magnitudes and separations; comments are given on previous attempts to put all visual and photoelectric estimates of differential magnitudes on a homogeneous scale.
