We propose single transit full-synthesis mosaic observations of the central region of the unidentified TeV source HESS J1616-508. Although the field has been extensively observed in X-rays and IR, the nature of the TeV source remains a mystery, making HESS J1616-508 an archetypical example of a "dark accelerator". We will investigate the morphology and the polarization of radio emission surrounding the TeV core and test the proposed connection between HESS J1616-508 and the young, energetic pulsar J1617-5055. We will take advantage of using a 8-fold increase in the bandwidth of the new CABB backend providing greater sensitivity and performance at cm-wavelengths.
