We are proposing a 5400 second (total effective exposure time) Gunn- i band image of three g~ 21-22 galaxies, to be obtained in the WIYN-2hr queue with seeing <=0.8 arcsec. These galaxies are associated with strong, kinematically complex, absorbing gas at z=0.93, seen the spectrum of the quasar PG 1206+459. The absorbing gas is unusually metal-rich, giving rise to MgII, FeII, SiII, CII, NII, SiIII, NIII, SiIV, CIV, NV, and OVI, as seen in HIRES/Keck and FOS/HST spectra. Based upon our previous work, we have concluded that the three galaxies are each embedded in near-solar metallicity, highly ionized, Galactic-like coronae. Our goal is to search for evidence of galaxy-galaxy interactions in the form of extended tidal debris in order to determine if an active and dynamic environment is possibly responsible for the extreme gaseous conditions. We expect to achieve a limiting rest-frame luminosity of ~ 0.01 L^* at a signal-to-noise of ~ 10, which would allow us to detect satellite material comparable to 15% the luminosity of an LMC galaxy.
