An algorithm is examined for the state vector estimation of a spacecraft in atmospheric flight. Attention is given to the determination of an expanded state vector with allowance for a large number of heterogeneous random perturbations. A Kalman filter modification is presented which takes into account the properties of mathematical models of spacecraft motion. Recommendations on the design of a data processing unity for optimal control of a descent module in a planetary atmosphere are given.
