A review of approximate methods for calculation of spectral line
profiles in hot stellar plasma has been presented. We have discussed in
detail the modified semiempirical method for Stark broadening parameters
determination as well as the regularities and systematic trends for
interpolation of new data and critical evaluation of existing ones.
