The present thesis consists of an abstract, an introduction, an appendix and six articles. It is a study of applications of the few body problem, based on computer simulations. The first part of the thesis is a study of comets, their origin and their dynamical evolution (papers I - IV). The second part is an application to groups of galaxies (papers V, VI). These two papers are quite different although the author has used similar N-body integration methods.
