Maximum cross-correlation (MCC) method was used to deduce the apparent displacement of floe ice from sequential satellite images in this paper. The spatial distribution of sea ice drift in Bohai sea of China was obtained. Two kinds of feature tracking technique: automatic tracking by computer and man-computer interaction tracking were tested, and some problems in the template match method were discussed.
