A relationship is established between the problem of the optimal selection of the set of measurements and a pair of dual problems obtained through the application of a specified theorem to the best-approximation problem. An algorithm for the optimal selection of the set of measurements under the effect of nonsimulated acceleration is presented. A linear programming approach is used throughout.
