A new code has been used to simulate the formation of elliptical galaxies via a dissipationless collapse by a numerical experiment. Preliminary results of numerical simulations are presented for initial 2T/abs value of W conditions ranging from 0.01 to 0.00001. The importance of inhomogeneity in the initial density distribution and of merging is outlined.
