It is shown that the appearance of certain C III and N III lines associated with the shaded levels 2pnl(1, 3)L and 2s2p(3P)nl(2, 4)L can be explained in the framework of the recombination mechanism with allowance for interconfiguration transitions. It is shown that it is possible to construct total C III and N III spectra with both shaded and normal levels in planetary nebulae.
