A formula is derived for the calculation of the distribution of the apparent population of clusters (i.e., the number of their apparent members) from the known distribution of the true population of clusters (i.e., the true number of their members). This formula does not depend on the limiting magnitude of the sample under study and can be approximated by a formula. The limiting values for the proportions of visible single and double brightest members of distant clusters of galaxies are estimated. A new method for determining the mean number of cluster members that are brighter than -14 m in the absolute magnitude is described, and the corresponding estimate is presented.
