The television imaging systems onboard Mars 4 and Mars 5 are described. Photographs were taken by two cameras through one of four color filters (red, green, blue, and orange). After the film was developed and stabilized, the pictures were transmitted to earth by television. Two examples of the 120 total frames obtained by Mars 4 and Mars 5 are reproduced.
